1/2 Teaspoon Chilli Flakes – For the Garlic Bread
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice – For the Garlic Bread

Directions

  1. Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Roast at 180°C for 35-40 minutes, or until soft and golden. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Squeeze the roasted garlic into a bowl and mash until smooth. Add the softened butter, parsley, lemon juice, oregano, chilli flakes, pepper and salt. Mix well to combine.
  3. Slice the sourdough loaf in half lengthways and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves.
  4. Bake at 200°C for 8-10 minutes, or until the butter has melted and the bread is lightly toasted.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the mozzarella and parmesan. Return to the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, golden and bubbly.
  6. To make the hot honey, combine the honey, hot sauce, chilli flakes, lemon juice and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Stir until well combined.
  7. Drizzle the hot honey over the warm garlic bread. Garnish with extra parsley and chilli flakes, if desired. Slice and serve immediately with the remaining hot honey on the side.
